I learned about mental performance the hard way.
A 2x Golden Glove winner in High School. Then college started, and everything fell apart. Dropping shots I'd caught a thousand times. Mistiming crosses. Turning over passes. I lost the starting position.... twice.
I tried everything: positive self-talk, reframing, a sports psychologist. Nothing stuck. I retired with a career that never matched my potential and that stayed with me.
It wasn't until I moved into soccer coaching that I realized I wasn't alone. Talented players everywhere were quietly fighting the same battle: Performing below their level, missing opportunities, unable to close the gap between training and match day. And nobody was giving them the real tools.
I hold the CMPC — the gold standard credential through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology — and work exclusively with competitive athletes who are tired of knowing they're better than what they're showing.

Your mental game should be trained with the same intention as your physical game
Other approaches: Mindset tips, motivational frameworks, positive thinking, journaling prompts. Surface-level tools that feel good in a calm environment and disappear the second the pressure dials up.
My Unique Method: A structured, four-step system that identifies exactly where your mental game breaks down, eliminates the root cause, and builds genuine mental capacity so you're not leaving any part of it unaccounted for.
The result: Athletes who don't win the mental battles — they stop having them at all, performing more consistently under pressure.
Step 1 — The Assessments
A free 15-minute conversation about where your game is, what's getting in the way, and whether working together makes sense. If it makes sense we move to a full 60-minute intake so I can create your Mental Training Plan.
Step 2 — Your Mental Training Plan (MTP)
To build mental muscle you need consistent reps. I will build you a Mental Training Plan so that you know the exact exercises to build the mental skills needed to elevate your game.
Step 3 — 1:1 Coaching
Accelerate your reps with 1:1 coaching, where I get to know you on a deeper level, break down any limiting beliefs and subconscious mental blocks and lead you through guided practices such as Brainspotting, Mental Rehearsal, And Nervous System Regulation techniques.
Step 4 — Recalibrate
You don't "win" the mental game. You keep winning it. At the end of our program we will reassess, track progress and recalibrate for the next level of your mental game and how we can support you for continued success.
Serious athletes don't leave their game up to chance. Secure your spot.
You're frustrated your performance doesn't reflect ability
You're a serious athlete and expect more from yourself
You're coachable, accountable, and ready to be pushed
You want a structured plan, not a pep talk
You're looking for tips, tricks and hacks instead of structure
You're looking for mental health therapy
You want someone to vent to, not train with
You're looking for a way out not a way through

"Thanks to Alex we are National Champions and members of Team USA!"
We have been working with Alex for about 5 months and the transformation to our team is palpable. "I would still be stuck in a rut and frustrated."
If it wasn't for the help and guidance of Alex, I would still be stuck in a rut and frustrated. I have learned to be more present, visualize my shots and remain neutral while doing so. I am so thankful for the work with Alex and am able to see the change and grow into a more confident golfer during tournament plays. I am happy to have found Alex and proud of the work I have done to get where I am now.

"If you're serious about unlocking your mental edge... EMP is a must."
Alex has been a game-changer for my daughter, Milan, both on and off the field. The ability to compartmentalize pressure moments and in-game situations has elevated her confidence and sharpened her performance at an elite level. If you’re serious about unlocking your mental edge and competing at the next level, EMP is a must. Thanks Alex!

Every athlete is different. Most see meaningful shifts within 3-6 months. Sharper focus, quicker recovery after mistakes, more consistent performance under pressure. The players who stay with the work 1-2 years see the biggest transformations. Mental performance is an endless skill. Skills compound over time.
We work in three phases.
First we Expose — you start building real awareness of what's actually happening mentally during competition and why. Most athletes have never had this conversation before.
Then we Eliminate — we break down the limiting beliefs, irrational fears, and mental patterns that are quietly running your game into the ground.
Then we Elevate — this is where we build. Confidence that doesn't depend on your last performance. Focus that holds under pressure. The competitive edge that separates athletes at the same physical level.
Then we repeat.
Primarily high school and college soccer players — ages 14 to 22. If you're a year or two outside that range and the fit feels right, reach out. Age is rarely the deciding factor.
Mental performance coaching and therapy serve very different purposes. Therapy addresses mental health.
Mental performance coaching trains competitive skills like focus, confidence, composure, consistency. Think of it like a strength coach versus a physical therapist. One treats. One trains. Many athletes work with both.
